International medical evacuation~London~

International Medical Transportation

Nice to meet you all.

I'm Kurikawa, a nurse who joined the company in August.

This time, we picked up a patient in the UK. It was my first time transporting, and I was surprised by a series of things...

The first hurdle is carry-on medical equipment.
We contact the airline in advance and give them the details of the aircraft we are going to bring. In order to ensure safety, we have communicated with the airline more than a dozen times.
Check in advance if it is okay to put it on the plane.

When I usually get on an airplane on a trip, if there is anything I can't bring on board, it will be confiscated! but ends with..
But this is not  the case with medical evacuation💦
Of course, on the day of the check-in counter, We will check again and again at the security counter.

I thought I knew, but I was surprised at the difference from the plane I was traveling on...

This medical evacuation is as follows:
The patient's condition was stable, and with the cooperation of the patient, his family, and everyone around him, we were able to finish the 14-hour long flight safely!
I am relieved to have arrived safely in Japan.Thank you so much for your corporation.

In addition, it was very difficult for the families who requested this to find an organization that provides such services.
She finally found it in various places, and there are not many institutions that know that such an institution exists. There was a story.

I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't know that there was a job called international medical evacuation before I started this job.

I thought that it would be great if everyone would know about medical evacuation and become a familiar person who can help you when something happens overseas..☺

From here, I digress...

This time, I didn't stay in England for 24 hours, and I was transported almost entirely by bullets🛫

I had time to check in at the hotel, so I went sightseeing with the doctor for a while ♪

Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, etc., were my first time in London, so I snapped a photo
I was having fun, but when I looked at the doctor next to me, she was happily taking pictures of a large chestnut tree and a large flock of birds.
I'm not good at birds, so I've been watching over them for a long time~...

I will post the British food and the doctor who takes pictures of birds 🐓
